WE ARE PROFESSIONALS IN THE SENIOR CARE INDUSTRY. THIS IS WHAT WE DO!
Exactly how does American Senior Home Finders assist the family and senior?
We assess their needs; getting all information regarding the senior’s physical & mental health, mobility, social behavior, any special health or dietary needs, cognitive level, hobbies, religious practice, activity level, etc.
We personally meet with the family to find out the current situation or circumstances they need help with. Our main focus is on how to make their life easier and the life of their loved one better. We are ready to join in and help solve those problems quickly and professionally.
We help that family member define the ideal scene and make that the reality. From there we determine an action plan to help achieve the ultimate outcome.
How Does American Senior Home Finders determine what type of home or community is best?
Each type of community or care home has a specific purpose and since we have visited these homes and communities before we advise you, we know what activities go on in that home or community and what care is provided. We guide you based on our experience and the needs of your family member.
How do I know if it’s time for my parent or loved one to move into a community or care home?
There are certain indicators to look for to help determine this. If you are concerned about the safety, health, mental or social welfare of your parent or loved one, it is time to take a look at getting care at home or placement.
If your family member no longer recognizes their current home environment, this is another indication that placement is necessary. Finding the right environment to help with their health or social issues can lead to a much higher quality lifestyle. It will definitely help you feel better knowing they are in a safe place and that their needs are being taken care of.
What if my parent refuses to leave their home or doesn’t want to go?
We cannot force anyone to move or leave their home. However, if you would like help from us to formulate a good plan, we can do that. Once you see the options that are there for them it makes it easier to formulate a plan. We can help with the introduction to your family member; it is part of our service.
Will my health insurance pay for Assisted Living?
In California Assisted Living is private pay. There are a few other things that can help such as Veterans Benefits (for those who served during a period of war), and Long Term Care Insurance. We do our best help you find a place that can fit in the budget of the senior’s income. We can also guide you to the right place to apply for any benefits deserved of a veteran or surviving spouse of a veteran.
What is the average cost of Assisted Living?
